About Course

This class will take you through every step of creating bright color background on leather and earth pallete on fabric. You will learn how to provide blanket, choose the right fabric and plant characteristics for this technique. This course will unlock how the earth color give and the bright color transfers to the leather.

MORDANT PROCESS

  • You will learn how to prepare mordan equipment.
  • How to do mordanting

THE MATERIAL

  • Preparing the material you need such as mordant material, leather, fabric, & leaves.
  • Preparing the kit of equipment you need for practice such as a steamer, wooden stick, etc

BLANKET

  • Choosing and preparing the type of blanket.
  • Treatment of the fabric to be blanket for the leather.
  • Learn how to make iron blanket and dye blanket

PRINTING

  • You will learn how treat the leather.
  • What are material and equipments in ironing the leather.
  • How to lay out the leaves properly on fabric.
